INTERNATIONAL PODCAST DAY

The 30th of September marks International Podcast Day! I love a good podcast, and I’ve had the great pleasure of appearing on some of my favourites — both those of friends and those of podcast hosts who became friends after I met them while recording! To mark this day, here are a few of my top picks that I love listening to, and which I think you’ll love too.

THE GOOP PODCAST WITH ELISE LOEHNEN

The Goop podcast touches on some of my very favourite topics each week: mind-body wellbeing, empowerment, identity, community, food and so much more, with incredible guests such as Selma Blair, Cameron Diaz, Billy Porter and Stanley Tucci. When I appeared on the podcast, Elise and I talked about fuelling our digestive fire and how the Doshas affect our digestion (and everything else!).

THE MOMENTS THAT MADE ME WITH ROXIE NAFOUSI

Roxie Nafousi is THE manifestation queen, so it’s always so interesting to hear her perspective on life while she speaks to guests such as Scarlett Moffatt, Vex King, Ateh Jewel and Katie Brindle. Each guest walks Roxie (and us) through the three moments they feel most define them, and it’s such a beautiful way to look at people’s journeys. I had the privilege of speaking to her earlier this year and share a previously untold story about my fear of flying and how I overcame it..

THE GRAZIA LIFE ADVICE PODCAST

Grazia is one of the coolest and most trusted magazines in the UK, so naturally you can expect to get amazing life advice from their biweekly podcast episodes. This advice is gleaned from a series of amazing guests, from MP Jess Phillips to jeweller Monica Vinader, and from actress Sadie Frost to Queenie author Candice Carty-Williams, and so many other inspiring women in between. On my episode of the podcast back in 2018, I talked about my morning routine as well as loads of easy ways to integrate Ayurveda into your everyday life, for a smoother ride.

THE MINDBODYGREEN PODCAST

I love the mindbodygreen brand and the work they’re doing towards democratising wellness, and their podcast never disappoints. Host Jason Wachob, founder and co-CEO of mindbodygreen, speaks to some of the most amazing voices in wellness around the world: guests have included Esther Perel, Gabby Bernstein, John and Julie Gottman and many more prominent people across the fields of medicine, psychology, wellness and spirituality. When I spoke to Jason in 2018, we discussed some of the things I'd been up to in the past few years and how and why East by West came to be.

SOMA COLLECTIVE WITH GARY GORROW

Years ago, Gary Gorrow taught me meditation. Now, I’m lucky to count him among my close friends, and I love every occasion I get to have an in-depth conversation with him — it just so happens that on this occasion, it was for work! He invited me on the Soma Collective podcast to talk about wellness, Ayurveda and — of course — meditation. Back in 2021, Gary and I spoke about impending motherhood (I was just a couple of months from full term). True to himself, Gary often brings some of the most inspiring people out there onto his podcast, in pursuit of his mission to cultivate “Creativity, Consciousness and the Art of Living.”

BONUS!

Because I love podcasts, of course I’ve tried my hand at hosting them myself over the years, in partnership with brands that are doing good in the world. In April 2019, I announced The Wellness Connection with Pukka, a six-episode series centring leaders in the fitness, food and wellness arenas for some thought-provoking discussions on reconnecting to our health. Then in May of that year, I launched the Self-Sustainable podcast in partnership with Selfridges, in which I spoke to experts, manufacturers and designers doing their part towards a more sustainable fashion industry.
