It’s difficult to know quite what the Christmas/party season will look like this year. Whilst it's unlikely anything will be “normal,” here’s hoping we’ll still be able to retain the spirit of the festive season. 2020 has truly been the year of loungewear, working from home has seen us embrace Zoom-ready top halves with tracksuit bottoms, and I don’t think this will go away come December. I’m championing loungewear-meets-party dressing this Christmas — think sparkles with added comfort like in the combo I’m wearing here. JASMINE HEMSLEY X NEEDLE & THREAD SKIRT
I’m wearing the Kalptaru Maxi Skirt from my eco collection created in partnership with Needle & Thread. I wore this skirt for the collection’s launch event with the matching bodice and it’s truly one of my favourite pieces. It’s inspired by Victorian lace pieces based on the layout of an organic tree branch and has been embellished with delicate foliage-inspired motifs. The base, made from 100% recycled polyester tulle has been embroidered in vivid aqua and cobalt threads creating a magical backdrop to the intricately scattered motifs and encrusted star shapes. All sequins are made from 100% upcycled plastic.
