Bio: Dr. Alexander (Dr. Alex) is a qualified Ayurvedic physician from Kerala, the cradle of Ayurveda, situated in the southernmost part of India. Dr. Alexander is a specialist in Ayurvedic medicine and all traditional Kerala Panchakarma treatments, whose great grandfather Padipurackal Cheriyan Vaidyar was an Ayurveda Netra Vaidyar. He has worked in London for many years as an Ayurvedic Practitioner at locations including; Recenter Health Balaham, Putney Pharmacy, The Stress Exchange Spa, London Bridge, Champissage Center Caledonian Road. Where/when did you first come across it?
When I was a child. Ayurveda is a mainstream medicine In India especially in Kerala where I born and brought up. My great grandfather was a Vaidya.
What is your one top tip for people who want to introduce Ayurveda into their lives?
Balance of three pillars of life - Aahra (food, water and air), nidra (harmony of life clock and biological clock - emotional balance.)
How would you describe Ayurveda in one sentence?
Ayurveda is the science everyone should understand and practice for a healthy and contented life.
